Colour–magnitude diagram of galaxies in the field of view of SMACS J0723. The spectroscopically confirmed cluster members (red points) define the red sequence. The colour and photometric redshift distribution of spectroscopically confirmed members are used to select 38 additional cluster members with no spectroscopic information (orange points) down to a magnitude of 24 in F160W.
