Flux weighted velocity dispersion corrected for beam smearing versus the extinction corrected SFR of the galaxies. Following Krumholz et al. (2018), we subtract 15 km s⁻¹ in quadrature to remove the component caused by thermal broadening in H II regions. Over-plotted are the fiducial model predictions of Krumholz et al.
