Simulated time-distance histogram between a dummy binary located at 1.4 kpc and its birth cluster with average astrometrical constraints. The local minimum around −5 Myr is ignored by our method, and even though the median of the distance (dotted white) has no clearly identifiable minimum, the 3σ threshold of the distance distribution (yellow) still provides a good indicator for the age since supernova set at −37 Myr.
