Distribution of SNeIa candidate selection times with respect to light curve peak time. Two outlier points with extreme values were excluded from the plot: ZTF21abbxtwv and ZTF18acydlux. Both candidates show gaps of more than 30 days around peak magnitude in their light curves, which likely caused the peak-finding algorithm of BTS to give an incorrect detection time value. Similar observational irregularities are found for most SNe with a detection phase after peak.
