6–10 µm region of IRAS 06111-7023 after subtracting a spline continuum (cf. Fig. 1). The 6.9 µm band is fitted with a single Gaussian, while the complex from 7–9 µm has been fit with five Gaussians, one of which fits the 7.2 µm aliphatic band (see Sect. 3.1 for details). The lower panel shows the residuals after subtracting the fitted Gaussians from the data.
