High-cadence relative RV measurements for WR 138 using different masks. At the bottom of the plot are the values of (σw, σRV) (km s−1) for each mask. As mentioned in the text, ‘full spec’ is a combination of all the masks to its left and not the entire spectrum. The N IV line at 5205 Å is very weak, which explains its high scatter.
