E and Z stereoisomers of propanimine. Isomer E, which is more stable than isomer Z, was calculated to be 3.16 kJ mol−1 lower in energy (zero-point correction included) via the B3LYP/6-311++g(3df,2pd) procedure using the Gaussian 09 suite of programs (Frisch et al. 2009).
