Observed HST/ACS F775W magnitudes vs. the spectroscopic redshifts of galaxies within the region of the MXDF with a total exposure time of > 100 h. The dashed grey line shows the evolution of the characteristic luminosity of the UV luminosity function (Bouwens et al. 2021). ID53 stands out by its continuum luminosity, which is the brightest at z > 3 and 1.5 magnitudes, brighter than any other galaxy at z ≈ 5 in these data.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
