Execution time by number of particles for a 0.25 s benchmark test in Chrono with a 10 μs time step. The test resembles the setup phase of the impact simulations (i.e., the mixing and initial settling of the material). With the exception of the time step, the simulation parameters match the values provided in Table 1.
