Time series of (black) input, (red) derived by moments and (blue) derived by fitting plasma bulk parameters of “core” electrons with their velocities following isotropic Maxwell distribution functions. There is not an apparent difference between the derived and input parameters and, thus, our analysis is appropriate for this plasma parameter range.
