Three-colour (blue: 70 μm, green: 160 μm, red: 250 μm) image (Schneider et al. 2016) of the environment of Cyg OB2 with the globule IRAS 20319+3958, labeled as ‘globule’. The size of the image is ~1.5° × 1.4°, which corresponds to ~36 pc × 34 pc, assuming a distance of 1.4 kpc. The pillar indicated further east will be presented in another study. The most massive stars of the Cyg OB2 association are located in the northwest corner of the image (north is up, east to the left).
