Central ±10° × ± 10° around the Galactic center. BGCs (i.e., with R_GC ≤ 3.5 kpc) are identified (generally with their NGC number) in blue and red, while other GCs with R_GC > 3.5 kpc are labeled in black. Gray circles show the locations of the SDSS-IV APOGEE-2S survey fields, while CAPOS fields are shown in red, with the dashed circles illustrating the CAPOS fields presented here. All CAPOS clusters are BGCs except for M22, which was observed simultaneously with the BGC NGC 6642. A final CAPOS BGC, NGC 6717, is off the plot at (12.9° , − 10.9°).
