A software mask is added to the star center of the image to simulate the presence of a coronagraph mask. Finally the image is smoothed with a Gaussian. (b): the model image of panel a after a height-corrected deprojection. This method shifts the bottom side of the disk (arc in bottom-right corner of the image) in the wrong direction.
