Images of FDS25_0000 (NGC 1326) with a sequence of downsize factors f. The original image has a downsize factor of f = 1. The upper row shows the central 180 × 180 pix of the galaxy at different f, presented with a magnitude scale of 30–15 mag arcsec−2. The middle row shows the inner 10Re ⋅ f1/3 of the galaxies, where the f1/3 factor accounts for the reduction in Re due to downsizing. A term of −2.5log10(f)/3 was added to the magnitude range of 30–15 mag arcsec−2 in order to account for the dimming of surface brightness due to downsizing. The lower row shows the same region as the row above, where a magnitude range of −1 to 1 mag arcsec−2 was used to display the residual images. The absolute r′-band magnitudes (Mr′) were calculated based on the corresponding multi-component decompositions.
