Local median mass fraction f(R) of the in-situ and ex-situ stars (dashed lines). The ex-situ component is then split according to its origin from major, minor, mini mergers, or from stripped galaxies (solid lines, see legend). Galaxies are shown divided into accretion classes (left column) and into stellar mass bins (right column). The spatial distributions of the in-situ and ex-situ components, as well as of the accreted stars contributed by different kinds of mergers, vary for different accretion classes and stellar mass bins.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
