Two-dimensional maps of the coupling efficiency as a function of separation, simulated at a wavelength of 1.6 μm and averaged over 20 realizations of atmospheric residuals. For the coronagraphic efficiencies of the star the inner ∼100 mas is additionally impacted by the transmission loss caused by the focal plane mask. The coupling efficiencies for the star have been corrected to account for the light blocked by the focal plane mask as described in the main text.
