Simulated view of the Sun’s UV corona from 33° heliolatitude, composited out of three He 30.4 nm images from SDO/AIA and STEREO/SECCHI using JHelioviewer (Müller et al. 2009, 2017). Solar Orbiter’s remote-sensing instruments and out-of-ecliptic vantage point will enable the first simultaneous measurements of the polar magnetic field and associated structures in the corona.
