Detected photons per second per pixel expected by the SPICE spectrograph for the displayed UV stars. The calculations assume that all the flux entering the telescope, after accounting for the SPICE effective area, ends up in one pixel. More realistically, these values should be divided by ten. The expected levels for the quiet Sun disc emission and for the emission expected in the quiet corona above the limb are also shown for comparison.
