Floating ground and current biasing concept. The floating ground has a range of ±50 V relative to the S/C structure. The transition from active current to passive bootstrapping is set to 100 Hz. This latter is much lower than the RC frequency of a biased probe, which will vary from several to several tens of kHz depending on the distance to the sun.
