Fig. 9.

Main sequence of galaxies. The black line shows the MS as defined in Speagle et al. (2014), with the dashed lines showing three times above and below the line of the MS for this redshift bin. The sources considered as starburst are three times above the MS. Left panel: main sequence of galaxies for the redshift bin at 1.5 ≤ z <  2.5. In the z = 2 bin the fraction of starbursts with respect to the number of sources is 43%. Right panel: main sequence of galaxies for the redshift bin at 2.5 ≤ z <  3.5. In the z = 3 bin the fraction of starbursts with respect to the number of sources is 40%. In both cases the starbursts tend to be of lower stellar mass than the majority of sources lying on the MS.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
