Distribution of eccentricities vs orbital periods for eclipsing binaries. The red dots are our new data from the present paper, which are being compared with the other LMC/SMC systems. The blue dots are taken from our previous analyses, and the cyan dots are taken from publications by Hong et al. (see table in Sect. 1 for reference). A comparison with galactic eclipsing binaries as published in the catalogue of Kim et al. (2018) are plotted in black. Circularisation in shorter periods is clearly visible here.
