The following distance estimates have been used: GRS 1915+105: 8.6 kpc (Reid et al. 2014), Cyg X–3: 7.4 ± 1.1 kpc (McCollough et al. 2016), V4641 Sgr: 6.2 ± 0.7 kpc (MacDonald et al. 2014).

The following mass estimates have been used: GRS 1915+105: 12.4 M (Reid et al. 2014), Cyg X–3: 2.4 M (Zdziarski et al. 2013), V4641 Sgr: 6.4 ± 0.6 M (MacDonald et al. 2014). For Cyg X–3 we use Eddington ratio that is twice the normal due to the accreting matter being helium-dominated.
