PI (left) and RM (right) of the spiral galaxy NGC 3044 at C-band (5–7 GHz) (upper panels) and L-band (lower panels) with a resolution of 12″ HPBW presented within the same field on the sky. The vectors are corrected for the observed Faraday rotation at the corresponding frequency band and hence give the intrinsic magnetic field orientation at C-band. The contours indicate the total intensity at 50, 150, and 250 μJy beam−1 at C-band and 125, 375, and 625 μJy beam−1 at L-band, corresponding to 5 σ, 15 σ, and 25 σ rms, respectively.
