NGC 4217 diffuse X-ray emission: a): Chandra diffuse X-ray intensity image in the 0.3−1.5 keV band. The contours are at 1.4, 1.6, 2.0, 2.6 and 3.4 × 10−3 counts s−1 arcmin−2 (or about 3, 4, 6, 9, and 13σ above the local background).
