Posterior distribution of the surface temperature of the new transiting candidate as derived from 150 000 MCMC samplings of the Kepler light curve of Kepler-160. We assumed an Earth-like Bond albedo of 0.3. The median value of 244.8 (+2.1, −2.9) K is indicated with a vertical marker, as is the Earth’s effective global mean surface temperature as calculated from its top-of-the atmosphere solar insolation, that is, neglecting the atmospheric greenhouse effect.
