Table A.2.
Description and adopted priors on the parameters of the planet-only and ringed planet models.
Parameter | Description | Prior |
---|---|---|
Rp [R*] ( + ) | Planet radius | log𝒩(0.95,1.88,1.09) |
a/R* + | Semi-major axis | 𝒩(231.07, 0.76) |
ip [°] ( + ) | Inclination of orbit | 𝒰(cos90, cos89.9) |
e + | Eccentricity | ℱ(0) |
u1, u2 ( + ) | Limb darkening | 𝒩(0.307, 0.006), |
coefficients | 𝒩(0.31, 0.02) | |
Rout [Rp] | Outer ring radius | 𝒰(1.0, 3.0) |
Rin [Rp] | Inner ring radius | 𝒰(1.0, Rout) |
ir [°] | Ring inclination | 𝒰(cos90, cos0) |
θ [°] | Ring obliquity | 𝒰(0, 180) |
Notes. ( + )specifies parameters with the same priors in both models. The notation 𝒩(a, b) refers to a normal prior with mean a and standard deviation b, 𝒰(a, b) refers to a uniform prior between a and b, ℱ(a) refers to a parameter fixed to value a, while log𝒩(s, a, b) refers to a log-normal prior with shape parameter s shifted and scaled by a and b, respectively.
