Results for the steady footpoint heating simulations run with the Spitzer-Härm (SH) and TRAC conduction methods (Sect. 4.4.2). Upper two panels: coronal averaged temperature as a function of time, for six values of RL, for each method. Lower two panels: TNE cycle frequency and computation time dependency on the minimum permitted spatial resolution (coarser resolution is associated with smaller RL). The lines are colour-coded in a way that reflects the conduction method used.
