Multiphase structure of the outflow in IRAS F08572+3915, including the cold molecular wind as traced by the CO(1-0) line (this work; blue and red contours), and the warm molecular (H2), atomic (Na I D), and ionized winds (Hα) as reported by Rupke & Veilleux (2013a). The black cross marks the position of the CO(1-0) peak in the NW galaxy. The observed range of velocities in the winds is listed next to each outflow component. Absorption by the galaxy’s disk is probably the reason that the redshifted outflow is only detected in CO.
