Snapshots of sources taken from the stacked image of CDF-S3 for each quality flags and their corresponding light curve over 23 months (from January 2, 2013 to December 14, 2014). The snapshots have a size of 20″ × 20″ and the white circles have a 2″ diameter. Top: source classified as 1 because isolated and without any aesthetic problem. Middle: source classified as 2 because of the close luminous neighbor. Bottom: extended source classified as 3 because of the close and bright companion. Error bars correspond to the rms of the variability threshold at the average magnitude of the source.
