Water losses in individual collisions as a function of the projectile-to-target mass ratio (where the target is always the larger body), for all regular scenarios with our model. Water loss is defined as the fraction of the (combined) pre-collisionwater inventory that is not incorporated into either of the post-collision bodies. Larger symbols indicate collisions among embryos and protoplanets alone (i.e., excluding planetesimals). Slightly negative values are merely numerical artifacts and can be assumed to be zero.
