Morphological asymmetry Amorph vs. kinematic asymmetry Akin for our z = 1.5 (proto-)cluster sample. Filled circles denote galaxies with determined Vmax, and open circles represent galaxies with disturbed or nonrotating velocity fields for which Vmax could not be derived. For comparison, we also show spirals from the low-redshift cluster A901/902 at z = 0.17 (small open squares), using data from Bösch et al. (2013a). The imaging of the z = 0.17 galaxies has been degraded to match the image quality of the z = 1.5 data, and also the derivation of Akin ensured comparable spatial resolutions in the two data sets.
