Azimuthal average profile of the central coma of comet 8P/Tuttle, observed by the MIPS instrument at 24 μm, and compared with a photometric model comprising a separate contribution from the nucleus and the coma. In the central 2 pixels, used to derive the nucleus contribution, the fit is excellent and the model and the observation are identical.
