Constraints on companion mass and semi-major axis for 40 Eri. The HCI data only extend to projected physical separations of ~10 AU, and for semi-major axes less than this value the percentage of companions that can be detected is increased by up to 9% for the minimum age and 3% for the maximum age. Semi-major axes up to four times the HCI field of view are shown, and we find that the HCI data increase the percentage of companions that can be detected by similar amounts for large semi-major axes >20–25 AU.
