Oblique version of the quincuncial projection for the Earth. As our layout consists of three parts (see text), we call it the triptychial projection of the world. It shows all continents, including Antarctica, without any intersections and with only small distortions. The underlying surface data are the Envisat mosaic from May–November 2004 (ESA, 3 May 2005, CC BY-SA 3.0 IGO).
