Notes.βBHL corresponds to the average mass-accretion efficiency for the Bondi-Hoyle-Lyttleton formalism, ⟨a⟩ / d, with ⟨a⟩ from Eq. (2). ⟨βhydro is the average mass-accretion efficiency per orbit obtained from the hydrodynamical models, computed over the last five orbits.
