Disk-resolved (160 × 160 pixels) model output RGB color images in F (Cols. 1–3) and |Q| (Cols. 4–6)of ocean planets with patchy clouds. The brightness of a pixel is scaled with its average spectral F. Phase angle α = 80°. The cloud coverage fraction fc is 0.25 (Cols. 1 and 4), 0.5 (Cols. 2 and 5), or 0.75 (Cols. 3 and 6), and the wind speed v is 1 m s−1 (top row), 7 m s−1 (middle row), or 13 m s−1 (bottom row). For every combination of fc and v, the cloud pattern across the disk is different.
