Sketch of the main features within the 200 × 200 arcsec2 region around the supermassive black hole Sgr A* shown by a star. The features indicated in gray correspond mostly to the molecular components. The Sgr A East SNR (black ellipse) and Sgr A West (black minispiral) are shown as well. The ionized Northern, Eastern, and Southern arms of Sgr A West are indicated. The big circle and ellipse represent the 50 and 20 km s−1 clouds, respectively. Both clouds seem to be connected by the Molecular Ridge (the curved streamer). The Western Streamer and the Northern Ridge are also shown.
