Table 5
P-values for the different coefficients used in Eq. (5) for the correction from stellar activity in Alpha Centauri B data.
Parameter | N mean RV | SN mean RV | SN median RV |
---|---|---|---|
β0 | 0.49 | 0.90 | 0.027 |
β1 | 2.22e − 16 | 2.22e − 16 | 2.22e − 16 |
β2 | 0.33 | 2.22e − 16 | 1.23e − 11 |
β3 | 2.22e − 16 | 2.22e − 16 | 2.22e − 16 |
β4 | 2.22e − 16 | 2.22e − 16 | 2.22e − 16 |
R2 | 0.57 | 0.78 | 0.66 |
Notes. All the variables corresponding to the Normal or SN parameters are statistically significant, except for the asymmetry of the CCF when using the BIS SPAN with N mean RV. The estimated R2 show that the proposed linear combination explains the most variability in RVs due to the stellar activity when the RVs are estimated with the SN mean RV.
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
