Stellar feedback and supernovae that exploded in the 30 Myr old clusters (yellow stars) swept the gas, producing the central cavity (white shell) and the IVS (blue shell). The expansion of the IVS triggered a second burst of star formation approximately 10 Myr ago (cyan stars).
