Notes. The column values indicate the number of simulated images for a given β value. For each set of parameters ( β, rc, and flux within rc), 100 clusters are simulated. For example, a value of 20 in the table means that there are 5 clusters in one simulated image for a given set of parameters. Simulations were performed for an exposure time of 450 s with a background level of 0.08 cnts pixel−1, and four β values (0.40, 0.55, 0.66, and 0.70).
