Notes. Only systems expected to merge within the Hubble time are included. We note that for metallicities Z ≥ 0.004 Z, models I1 and I2 are the same, as are the simulated samples, each obtained from a population of ∼1.54 × 106 ZAMS binaries. For low metallicities Z < 0.004 Z in model I2 the number binaries at ZAMS was lower, i.e. 1 × 106.
