G -band variability amplitude, measured by the 5–95% quantile range QR₅ of the cleaned G time-series, versus G_BP  − G_RP e colour for all LPV candidates published in Gaia DR2. The median values of G_BP and G_RP e measurements are used to compute the colours. The population of stars around QR₅ ≃ 2.5 mag represents Mira-like candidates, while those with QR₅ ≲ 1.0 mag are SRV candidates.
