Initial distribution of stars that end up within 6 kpc from the galactic centre after 7 Gyr of evolution. The stars within 6 kpc are what we loosely term the inner disc of the Milky Way. We see that almost all stars originate from within 6 kpc, with about 3% contamination from the “outer” disc.
