Multi-epoch snapshots of the density (top), temperature (middle), and velocity vs. Lagrangian mass for model He_R173 (solid). For the top two panels, we include the results for model He_R11 (dashed). Bottom panel: different epochs and only the outer envelope. The time origin corresponds to the piston trigger (the piston mass cut is located at 1.4 M). A reverse shock forms after ~20 min in the model with the extended low-density envelope. This reverse shock leads to the formation of a dense shell of 0.2 M at m = 2.4 M. For better visibility, all profiles in the top two panels are shifted vertically by a constant.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
