Notes. Where not otherwise specified we use the single-cloud sight-lines with units as in Figs. 69. Columns 2 and 3 gives the best-fit parameters of the relationship y = ax + b derived by applying MLE. Column 4 gives the parameter (1 − ζ) which relates to the confidence that no selection bias affects the statistics. Fit parameters are for the M sample.
