Observed J = 1−0 CS transition at 48 990.957 MHz using the UV lamp. The integration time was 20 s per spectra. The spectral resolution of the data is 380 kHz. The upper panels show spectra at selected times while the lower panel shows the line integrated intensity (in K × MHz) as a function of time. The lamp was switched off after 200 s. The decrease of the CS abundance is much faster than in the case of continuous illumination of the cell. A video showing the whole set of data is available online.
