Spectra (extracted by PSF weighting) of MUSE IDs 6877 (z = 0.734) and 6878 (z = 3.609) at the top. The images shown at the bottom are HST F775W, MUSE white-light, and narrowband images of [O ii] at z = 0.734 and Lyα at z = 3.609, from left to right. Because these two objects are barely resolved with MUSE, they were originally treated as a single “merged” object. However, their spectra and a comparison of the narrowband images with the HST image help to “split” and associate the MUSE redshifts with the corresponding HST counterparts.
