Typical dynamical evolution of asteroidal dust grains. The larger grains (100 μm) evolve on a timescale of a few hundred Myr and show frequent captures in mean-motion resonances with Earth. Smaller particles (10 μm) drift on a shorter timescale of some tens of Myr, mostly influenced by PR-drag. Resonant captures can occur, but they last only a short time.
