Orbital separation as a function of time for three different systems with the same initial component masses and different metallicities. The initial periods correspond to the shortest one in our simulations for which a system with those component masses and metallicity evolves chemically homogeneously and undergoes a ULX phase. Circles mark the moment of BH formation, and the initial mass and spin of the BH are shown.
