SRT linearly polarized intensity image at 6600 MHz of the galaxy cluster Abell 194, resulting from the spectral average of the bandwidth between 6000 and 7200 MHz. The noise level, after the correction for the polarization bias, is σP = 0.5 mJy/beam. The FWHM beam is 2.9, as indicated in the bottom left corner. Contours refer to the total intensity image. Levels start at 3 mJy/beam (3σI) and increase by a factor of 2. The electric field (E-field) polarization vectors are only traced for those pixels where the total intensity signal is above 5σI, the error on the polarization angle is less than 10°, and the fractional polarization is above 3σFPOL. The length of the vectors is proportional to the polarization percentage (with 100% represented by the bar in the top left corner).
